– employee pics when they were babies or teens.
– the early days of the company.
– relevant throwbacks in your industry – who invented the first chicken wing…the first female attorney….etc…
– showcase clients or customers from years ago.

No matter what you choose to do make sure you’re participating in this highly engaged, viral trend using #ThrowbackThursday & #TBT on all social sites: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr…!

Is That Social Media Update Relevant To Your Brand?

Coming up with a new update to post every day can become extremely difficult at times. Weekly specials stay the same week after week and your connections eventually get bored seeing such repetitive posts. Can you blame them? How bored would you get if you saw the same post from your favorite restaurant day after day after day?

What to do…. What to do?!

Well I guess you could start posting about local news. That works, right? 

It does work, on occasion especially with breaking news, happy stories and must know updates, but don’t turn your business social media platforms  into local news media streams. There’s a reason why we have local news.

You could start posting cat pictures.

Google+ Makes Business Page Changes You Should Be Aware Of

Google+ Pages just changed, again. Here are some changes that you need to know about.

1. Your logo/ picture avatar has moved and is no longer square shaped. Does your image look silly in a circle shape?

2. The cover photo has changed in size. Your cover photo might need to be changed as well due to the new location of the avatar image.

3. The sidebar no longer contains the “Circle the page” section.

4. The “Circle the page” area is now on the right side of the cover photo (remember this when designing your cover photo).

5. The +1 button is also in the cover photo area so design accordingly.

 

6. The “About” section has an entirely new look and feel (so do the photos and videos, just not as drastic).
