Be Careful Not To Flood Your Connections Pinterest Streams

Posted on July 25th, by Kim Randall in Pinterest. No Comments

There’s nothing more aggravating than seeing 50 arm tattoos all in a row on Pinterest from the same person. Sure, it’s great that you’re using the site and it’s great that you are passionate about what you’re pinning, but pinning a variety of pins instead of a ton of the same themed ones might get your boards more eyeballs and less unfollows. This is the same for anything; food, clothes, travel…

It doesn’t matter what it is, you do not want to overwhelm your connections for fear that they will not want to stay connected to you.

Facebook Advertising Fail

Posted on July 24th, by Kim Randall in Facebook Tips, Social Media. No Comments

Last week we were Tweeting with some of our connections when we saw a post from one that cut our eye. A Twitter connection had seen an ad that was obviously targeting her for one reason or another, clicked it and much to her surprise… was not directed to the pedicure promotion she had clicked on from LivingSocial. This makes me wonder how many other companies are doing things like this and why they would even bother. Let’s be real for a minute. If you are advertising pedicures, but the landing page is selling tires, how many sales do you really think you’re going to make?

False advertisement should be banned from Facebook and is considered spam. Don’t be that company that scams others!

Give Away Something Enticing When Running a Contest

There’s nothing worse than promoting your services or product only to find out you can’t even give it away. It’s a horrible feeling thinking that your services or product isn’t wanted, isn’t it? If you’ve run a contest to try to give away something you usually sell and this has happened to you, don’t be discouraged. Chances are your product/ service isn’t bad, it’s just that people don’t know what it is or how it can be of value to you. Instead of running into this issue try giving away something that is more “wanted” that either compliments your services/ product or fits into the theme of the contest.

We held a Pinterest contest for a client for March Madness. The company specializes in search engine marketing and PPC campaigns. We weren’t about to try to give away PPC campaigns as … Read More »

Some businesses may seem a little more social than others, but when it comes down to it every business is run by humans and humans are naturally social.
